Hello. We are Heather and Andrey

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and to get to know us better. We want to assure you we will be loving parents as you make this difficult decision.

Our story began when we were in high school and Andrey had arrived from Ukraine only a few years earlier. He didn’t speak much English; but quickly learned. We fell in love as we talked about the kind of future that we each wanted for ourselves. We married soon after graduation and looked forward to starting a family, but that wasn’t to be. Heather has a welcoming smile for strangers and friends alike. She is always optimistic no matter what life’s challenges bring.

She graduated from college with two associate degrees and works for a human resources, investment, and payroll company, advancing to more responsible positions over the years. She works in an office and sometimes at home, having a very flexible schedule.

Andrey is my best friend. We fell instantly in love when we met. On many of our dates we talked about what we wanted our future to be. We wanted to fill our home with children.

Andrey works for a property management company. He often gets sent to multiple local locations as his expertise is needed. He is able to flex his time when needed. He studied computer science, HVAC, and Property Management. He loves the challenge of remodeling and home repairs. Together, we have changed our house into the home where we both plan to raise a family.

We bought a three-bedroom, two-story colonial house with a two-car attached garage and a finished basement. We made a lot of changes to make this house a perfect home for a child. We have a playroom and entertainment room for movies, as well as a craft room for Heather. Andrey works in the two-car garage on his projects. We designed our large yard to host barbecues with friends and their children. We have plenty of room in our almost one-acre yard to add swings and sandboxes. Our neighborhood is full of children and young families. Our schools are excellent.

Your child will be blessed with a warm family and many friends with children. Our friends and their children often get together as families to celebrate holidays, new babies, birthdays, anniversaries and just plain friendship. My Dad, Greg, is a live-in Grandpa with a lot of experience with children. He raised my oldest brother, youngest sister and me in Pennsylvania before we moved to Rochester, New York. My younger sister lives in Washington state near Seattle with her two children and her spouse. My older brother lives in Rochester. We have many aunts, uncles and cousins in the area....

Andrey and I both love travel, adventures and exploring places we’ve never been to before. We enjoy going to museums and learning the history of the places we visit.

We both enjoy downhill skiing, hiking and walking our dog on trails. We often think about sharing our adventures with a couple of children to complete the family we’ve always wanted.

Words cannot describe how much we appreciate you taking the time to get to know more about our family. We know that placing your child is a difficult decision and without your sacrifice, becoming parents would not be possible for us.

We will raise this child(ren) in a loving, kind and happy home, with many friends and family. We promise to provide them a loving and nurturing home.

We promise to share the information that the birth family provides us, so that they know how much they are loved by all of us. We plan to explain the adoption to them with a homemade adoption book...
